What is TechHub?
TechHub is a community-driven platform where tech enthusiasts share links, articles, projects, and ideas. Think of it as a curated feed of the best tech content, ranked by the community.
Is TechHub free to use?
Yes, completely free. No ads, no paywalls, no premium tiers. Just a clean community experience.
Do I need an account to read stories?
No. You can browse all stories without an account. You need an account to vote, comment, submit stories, or save bookmarks.
Submissions
How do I submit a story?
Click the "Submit" button in the top navigation bar. You'll need to be logged in. Paste a URL or write a text post, add a title, and submit. The community will vote it up or down.
What kind of content is allowed?
Tech news, tutorials, open-source projects, research papers, tools, job postings, and community discussions. See our Community Guidelines for the full list.
Why was my submission removed?
Submissions may be removed for duplicate content, guideline violations, spam, or low quality. If you think it was a mistake, contact us.
Voting & Ranking
How does the ranking algorithm work?
Stories are ranked by a combination of upvotes, downvotes, comment activity, and time decay. Fresh stories with strong engagement rise quickly; older stories gradually fall. The "Hot" tab shows this ranking.
Can I change my vote?
Yes. Click the same vote button again to remove your vote, or click the opposite button to switch.
Account
How do I reset my password?
Click "Login" then "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile settings and scroll to the bottom. You'll find a "Delete Account" option. This is permanent and cannot be undone. Alternatively, contact us and we'll handle it manually.
How do I report abuse or spam?
Use the report button on any story or comment. For urgent issues, contact us directly.
